The ARA, in partnership with WorkSafeBC, has developed health and safety guidelines for the safe handling of electric vehicles and high voltage batteries.

The information is intended to provide workplaces in the automotive towing and recovery and automotive recycling industries with information on their basic legal responsibilities and to provide a consistent approach in identifying and safely controlling workplace hazards associated with the recovery, transportation, handling, dismantling and storage of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and High Voltage (HV) batteries.
